About the Lake Community

Samp Mortar Reservoir is the charming centerpiece of the Lake Hills Community. Beautiful homes surround the 47-acre body of water.

The lake gets its name from Samp Mortar Rock, a 70-foot cliff on the west side of the lake that was once used by Native Americans to grind corn (samp) in its natural bowls.
